Okay, so we're in agreement with removing the redundant job category. Do any other editors wish to add anything else to this debate?
Regarding the other redundant categories, I suppose that topic is currently being enacted upon as a "project" (see Thread:6354) amongst us editors (especially the character related categorisation). I don't see a need for a deceased character page, especially as it easily provides visitors with an instant spoiler.
I'm suggesting that if anyone wants to create a new category or subcategory on the Wiki, to please discuss it on the General Discussion Board first.
Failure to do so will mean the category will be removed from page and the user warned or temporarily banned. The categorization on the wiki is currently not up to scratch and it isn't remedied in any way by adding further categorization to pages.
As the chief admin, I thought it would be interesting to edit the labels for admin and founder groups within the MediaWiki pages.
I've changed admin to "Mechanic" and Founder to "History Man" as they seemed very fitting to the Mad Max universe. These are, of course, open to discussion.
Does anyone have any alternate names for these admin group labels? Would you prefer if they remained as admin and founder?

There is an overuse of categorising on this wiki's pages, thus creating a redundancy of the category feature. The wiki's category feature is beginning to look... messy.
For example, a character page can belong to both the categories "[[Category:Mad Mad: Fury Road]]" and "[[Category:Mad Max: Fury Road characters]]." Since the latter category belongs to the former (as a subcategory), only the latter category is necessary on that character page.
Therefore the current project being conducted involves removing the macro-categories from such pages in favour of the displaying just the smaller subcategories. Should users wish to visit the large category, they can do so by clicking on the subcategory to reach the macro-category page.
This will only effect the macro-categories of the films (i.e. [[Category:Mad Max]], [[Category:Mad Max 2]], [[Category:Mad Max 3]] and [[Mad Max: Fury Road]]). For the time-being, character/vehicle/location pages will retain their [[Category:Character/vehicle/location]] statuses because alphabetical lists of these categories are currently beneficial to user navigation.
I too see the usefulness of having the macro-categories for characters, vehicles and locations being present on all character, vehicle and location pages. It makes it very useful for mass edits; the current project I've just started, where I'm adding the new quote template to pages, is made all the more easier by seeing every character page in one list). Also, as the Mad Max wiki is relatively small, the wiki isn't overburdened by having all characters/vehicles/location pages on one category page. Of course, this may change in the future, depending on how large the franchise becomes.
I'm in favour of removing the film macro-categories in the same fashion as User:Crouchbk has done for Fury Road.
Edit: as this has not been disputed, and has been discussed, I see no reason why the project can not continue. I shall add it to current community projects
The wiki is currently in the process of attaching all quotations to a new quotation template. (See Template:Quote).
For example, this project will change the previous syntax on character pages:
