There is an overuse of categorising on this wiki's pages, thus creating a redundancy of the category feature. The wiki's category feature is beginning to look... messy.

For example, a character page can belong to both the categories "[[Category:Mad Mad: Fury Road]]" and "[[Category:Mad Max: Fury Road characters]]." Since the latter category belongs to the former (as a subcategory), only the latter category is necessary on that character page.

Therefore the current project being conducted involves removing the macro-categories from such pages in favour of the displaying just the smaller subcategories. Should users wish to visit the large category, they can do so by clicking on the subcategory to reach the macro-category page.

This will only effect the macro-categories of the films (i.e. [[Category:Mad Max]], [[Category:Mad Max 2]], [[Category:Mad Max 3]] and [[Mad Max: Fury Road]]). For the time-being, character/vehicle/location pages will retain their [[Category:Character/vehicle/location]] statuses because alphabetical lists of these categories are currently beneficial to user navigation.

The wiki is currently in the process of attaching all quotations to a new quotation template. (See Template:Quote).

For example, this project will change the previous syntax on character pages:

The process should be conducted in an alphabetical order. See the [[Category:Characters]] to see an A-Z of Mad Max characters.
