Not much is known about the Warlord, other than the fact that he was in command of Gas Town during Dementus' attack on the Oil refinery. What little is known about the Warlord is that he appears to be quite cultured, having a modestly clean bedroom, books and furniture of good quality not often seen in a desolate wasteland. He is also shown to be a good painter, having replicated an old renaissance painting almost perfectly into his bedroom walls. He walks around in an old European military uniform and has long white hair and pale skin like Immortan Joe. He must've been an able administrator, for when Dementus took over, Gas Town was being run into the ground.
When he fell for Dementus trojan horse, he was later captured and brought before Immortan Joe as a bargaining chip, where he explained that Dementus wants double of everything from the Citadel for Gastowns fuel. When Rictus tried to threaten Dementus for the codes to save Gas Town from exploding, Dementus tried to hand the device which held the Guardian over to him.
Rictus, not understanding the situation, didn't grabbed the handle in time and so the device impaled the Guardian with a harpoon through the back of his head and through his eye, killing him.
In his last moments before being impaled, the Guardian begged Immortan Joe to do as he says, calling him "My brother!". Despite sharing a rather similar appearance, it is unclear if the Guardian is Joe's brother by blood.
More likely, he may simply be an old but trusted ally of Immortan Joe and like the Bullet Farmer, calls each other brother as a form of comradery.
