History Relics are a collectable found around the game map in Mad Max. They provide a glimpse into the events before, during, and shortly after the Apocalypse. There are a total of 103 unique History Relics, with each one depicting photos of the past and notes left by survivors, the majority of which have unique monologues spoken by Max Rockatansky. Most can be found in scavenging locations, some are found in camps and strongholds. Collecting all History Relics awards the A Thousand Words achievement, which is worth 5 Gamerscore (Xbox) / Bronze trophy (Playstation).
