Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga[]

As the events in adult Furiosa's life unfold, Max still survives in the Wasteland. From Screen Rant:

"George Miller disclosed that Furiosa's events unfold 15 years before Mad Max: Fury Road. He also added that 'Max is lurking around somewhere in this story,' which is exactly what he seems to be doing in the brief cameo scene. Since Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome takes place somewhere in the early 2000s and Mad Max: Fury Road ensues several decades after Thunderdome's events, it would be safe to say that the cameo scene lies somewhere between the third (Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome) and the fourth (Mad Max: Fury Road) installment of the movie franchise."

2024 FAMMS MAX CAMEO 4

After Furiosa loses her arm, Max -- before his hair has grown long -- watches her cross a barren plain from a rocky outcropping . . . while eating from a can. It can't be seen, exactly, what Max is eating, but fans know from Mad Max 2 that it could very well be Dinki-Di dog food.

Also, the shot mimics, almost exactly, the shot from the opening of Fury Road when the audience first sees Max.

He is also credited for portraying The Dogman, a minor character in the movie who dies after failing to secure a hanging bucket truck from a crane, Furiosa is called by Scrotus to assist him as he is dangling from the bucket and unable to climb up, but she accidentally makes the bucket of the truck move, causing him to lose grip and fall to his death, leading Scrotus to replace his role as "The Dogman" and bestow it to Furiosa almost immediately after his death.

Trivia[]

  • Tomuri joined an ever-growing list of Mad Max actors who've played dual roles in the film franchise. Aside from playing Max in Furiosa he was also credited with playing "The Dogman."[2]
