Leadslingers are elite, War Boy snipers under Scabrous Scrotus' command as seen in the Mad Max 2015 video game.

Seen In[]

Leadslingers are common enemies that tie-in with the "liberation" mechanic the video game requires in order to cleanse the Wasteland regions of Scrotus' forces, while empowering Max's allied "Stronghold" factions.

Strengths and Mechanics[]

Leadslingers are often strategically situated upon makeshift towers, high camp walls, or rocky clifftops. A glint of light from the glass scope in the distance will tip off the player/Max of the snipers' presence, and will change colors from blue, to yellow, to red, depending on the sniper's awareness of Max's presence. Once the glint becomes red, the sniper will attempt to take Max out, which can be extremely deadly if he is not in his vehicle.

Weaknesses and Strategy[]

Though the Leadslinger is deadly from long distances, there are a variety of ways to defeat them. If they are atop a tower, Max can have Chumbucket pull down towers with the harpoon mounted on the Magnum Opus.

Other Strategies:

  • If the towers are secured with cables, the harpoon can be used to loosen them from the ground before taking down the tower.
  • The Magnum Opus can also be used to simply crash into the tower, if the cables are not securing it.
  • The Leadslinger himself can also be pulled from the tower/platform with the harpoon, or blown to pieces with the Thunderpoon.
  • Max can also be equipped with a long range, high-caliber sniper rifle of his own, which can be used to take out the Leadslingers from a distance, as long as he is in the Magnum Opus.
