Outcrier is a character that appears in the Mad Max (2015 Video Game). He resided in Gastown and under Scabrous Scrotus runs the Gastown races and the Blood n' Guts circuit as their proprietor. Being the 'face' of the races he liked to put on a big show for his audience with big explosions, pyrotechnics and overwhelming noise the norm.
His position had made him some-what of a local celebrity, and as a result quite wealthy. He wore an eccentric garb with flashing lights fixed on which he calls 'lighties'. He also had a number of loudspeakers attached so his audience can hear his commentary from a podium during the races. These were run by a gasoline generator carried around by his confidant Lectricy Boy.
Max Rockatansky first met him when he entered Gas Town in search of a way to enter the races. This was in order to win the grand prize, a V8 engine called 'The Big Chief' for his vehicle the Magnum Opus. However, Outcrier stated entry into the races was very selective, but was willing to offer Max a place if he carried out a dangerous mission for him. This involved going into Buzzard territory, The Dunes, and searching through the remains of an old airport to retrieve more 'lighties' which Outcrier desperately needed. On successfully returning Max is allowed to enter the races.
Outcrier's occupation had put him in direct competition with Crow Dazzle who ran his own Death Races outside Gastown, and as a result saw him as a major rival. In a side quest 'Rustle Dazzle', Outcrier tasks Max to steal Crow Dazzles's sound system that rivals his own. Strangely after completing this side quest, Crow will have nothing to say to Max despite stealing his own sound system.
Alongside this, As first seen when meeting the Outcrier he can be seen smoking a Cigar - Which proves his dramatic power as in the world we are presented in the 2015 Mad Max game nobody else can be seen even coming close to the ability of keeping up with a Smoking habit - Especially considering the rarity of most items including generalised food and herbs there are only three possibilities as to why he was able to procure tobacco products, one being the most likely option that he buys them from Gastown scavengers who scavenge the dump and possibly pink eyes territory, Second that he trades with the Buzzards who have been known to be able to get their hands on rare objects from the dunes - which may be the result of their diglings. And the less likely possibility that the Citadel grows tobacco, Which may be possible - but as we do not see any Smokers anywhere else in the later mad max series especially fury road - this may be a slight lore-breaking anomaly.
