Quaden Bayles (born December 13, 2010) is an Australian actor who played the significant Bommy Knocker War Pup in George Miller's 2024 prequel film Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga.
Biography[]
In 2020 an ugly and unfortunate video went viral about how Mr. Bayles was being bullied at school because of his condition known as achondroplasia which is a type of dwarfism. The viral video reached the eyes and ears of George Miller who cast Quaden in his (then) current project Three Thousand Years of Longing. Said Miller, "It was good for us and it was good for him. And he did such a good job that he's got a small role in Furiosa."[1] After the release of Furiosa, Miller added, "I've been lucky enough to meet quite a number of exceptional people and he's among them."[2]
Fast Forward to 2024 and Quaden Bayles has just made his appearance in one of the summer's BIGGEST -- not to mention high profile -- films, Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga. Quaden played a significant role as a War Pup who manned the War Rig's medieval weapon known as the "bommy knocker."
After two successful appearances in movies Quaden says he wants to continue to act, "You would think being a young kid like me," Quaden says, "just going through stuff in life wouldn't really make it. But one day I just had this one thing and my whole life just changed like that. It's just crazy. The video changed me a lot but what changed me the most was the acting. I'm always going to be Quaden and I'm always going to have the same vibe, the same me. But when it comes to that industry, I'm a whole different person. I'm ready to act. Put me on. I'm ready right now."[2]
