Scabrous Scrotus is one of the sons of Immortan Joe, who makes his first film appearance in Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga. He is portrayed by Josh Helman.
He had previously appeared as the main antagonist in the 2015 video game, Mad Max,[1] where he is voiced by Travis Willingham.
Biography[]
Scabrous Scrotus is one of Immortan Joe's sons.
Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga[]
At the Citadel, Scrotus was with his father, Immortan Joe, brother, Rictus, and other members of the Cult of the V8 leadership when Dementus managed to coerce a negotiation by his seizure of Gastown. Scrotus is enraged with Joe's agreement to a lower but still generous deal to Dementus, while also allowing the biker ruler to become new Lord Protector of Gastown; despite his arguments, Scrotus does not defy his father's decrees.
He later unknowingly promotes young Furiosa (mistaking her for a boy) from a treadmill rat to a doorman after her impressive feat of saving a vehicle later to be used in the creation of the War Rig.
Scrotus & Rictus are (presumably) behind the idea of the Citadel's flagship War Rig. However, after the vehicle was destroyed - an all out war on Dementus was waged and he fought on the battlefield in his personal vehicle - the Cranky Black. Ultimately he was ready to chase down Dementus himself but his vehicle was damaged. After it was fixed, Furiosa stole it from him and took vengeance into her own hands.

From an early age he showed tremendous skill in combat and killed his first adversary at the age of seven. During his teenage years, he made fame riding in Death Runs between Gas Town and Bullet Farm. During the Wasteland wars, he defeated Dr. Dementus. After Immortan Joe's reclaiming of Gas Town, Scabrous was appointed its Protector and put in charge of all operations and personel, as well as the many camps that supply oil for refinement and new recruits. Thus, he became the leader of his own faction of War Boys, spreading terror in the Wasteland.
After getting his chainsaw lodged into his skull by Max, he vows to kill him for disgracing him as such, and goes to unspeakable lengths to obtain vengeance upon him after failing to do so the first time. He sends his right arm Stank Gum on the hunt for Max.[2][3]
Appearance and Personality[]
He wears a tunic made from fish skins because he suffers from a skin disease. That is to prevent his skin from itching. The fish skin tunic seems to be an extremely rare and luxurious item by the Wasteland standards as water is extremely difficult to come by, let alone finding animals still living in it. His veins are permanently popping out of his head. [4]
Scrotus has a hyperactive amygdala. He is constantly in an aggressive and impulsive state. He is a cruel, demanding, greedy, selfish, and arrogant monster whose wickedness arguably surpasses that of his own father's, Scrotus takes immense pleasure in claiming power over his "land" and subjecting anyone not on his side to a world of fear and threats.
