The Big Nothing is a boundary area in the Mad Max game and a long empty wasteland in the movies.
Overview[]
Known to be the barren empty remains of the many oceans of Earth which were dried up due to severe climate change.
The Game[]
The Big Nothing serves as a "Leaving the playable area" type of mechanic. Possible reason as to why this area is so dangerous is that it could be an area full of radiation as it is prominent in the movies as it is the cause of the wastes and disease.
Notes[]
There is a glitch in the game that can make the player immune to the affects of the area. First one must venture to the highest point of the map near the overlook where max must find the pilot light for Deep Friah's Stronghold. The player must also have a wasteland storm active. There is a secret area which is actually the end game area know as the Purgity Flatlands. This can only be found by falling off the cliff on the farrest right side of Chumbuckets land. This can only be done on PC with mods and Gmod on, other consoles will never work.
