Tom Burke (born June 30, 1981) portrayed Praetorian Jack in George Miller's 2024 film Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga.
Biography[]
Tom Burke is an actor of film, television and theater. He is known for his roles in films such as I Want Candy and The Invisible Woman. In television, he is known for his role as Athos in the series The Musketeers and an ongoing role as the detective Cormoran Strike in Strike, an ongoing miniseries based on the novels by J.K. Rowling, writing under the name Robert Galbraith.
Having recently played a number of "lousy people," Burke was pleased with his role in Furiosa. He was happy when the character was described to him as being "noble" and "heroic," stating that "I'd convinced myself that I'd be playing somebody probably fairly grotesque and covered in boils."[1]
